How to check without reading music
- Each ring is a note the reader saw, colored by voice: S soprano, A alto (top staff), T tenor, B bass (bottom staff).
- A printed note with no ring was missed. A ring on empty paper is extra. A ring in the wrong voice color went to the wrong part.
- To fix a note, find its line or space in the photo, then tap the same line or space in that voice's column below.
- Not sure? Tap ▶ Hear chord to check by ear.
Chord 1
How long is this chord?
How this works
- Work through the hymn one chord at a time, usually one chord per syllable.
- Tap a line or space in a voice's column to set that voice's note. The note name shows beside it.
- Next chord copies this chord, so you only change the voices that move.
- Held keeps a voice's note sounding from the chord before (a tie, or a long note under moving parts). Rest silences it.
- When one voice moves twice under one soprano note, use Split in two, then change the voice that moves.
- Same syllable in any voice keeps its word going over this note, like a slur.
- Barlines and ties are added automatically.
- Keyboard: ↑↓ move the note · A–G pick a note · Tab next voice · ←→ chords · Return next chord · 1–6, 8 length · H held · R rest · Space hear · ⌘Z undo · ⌘S save. A MIDI keyboard chord fills all four voices and moves on.
Lyrics by part
Use hyphens between syllables (shep-herd) and _ to hold a syllable over an extra note. Leave a verse blank if this part has no words for it.
